Like the Scorpion it is also a reconnaissance vehicle. Weight: 17,100 lbs The Scimitar is basically a Scorpion with a different main gun. The Scimitar uses a RARDEN 30mm gun. The 30mm gun utilizes high velocity kinetic energy as well as explosives to maximize its effectiveness against targets. The 30mm ammunition is small in comparison to the Scorpions 76mm ammo thus requiring less storage space per round. The Scimitar can carry 165 rounds of ammunition. The vehicles turret is altered slightly from that of the Scorpions to mount the different main gun. The other features of the vehicle are similar to the Scorpions.
